So you bought a ring, loved it for as long as it lived out it's life's durability but has since lost it's luster, the antique patina or precious metal plating has faded or disappeared altogether, you have some abrasions and dings. Do you now put it away on the shelf, sell it for scrap or refinish it? It's going to all depend on it's financial and sentimental value of course but yes, most rings (even brass and stainless steel) can be restored at least a good 90% in most cases. It all comes down to how deep those scratches and gouges are but well worth it if it does in fact have financial or sentimental value.
Keep in mind this isn't the same thing as replating (ie. replating gold or other precious metal) over the top which "will not" remove scratches and if your ring is gold or silver plated, you'll need both services. First to refinish the ring as smooth as possible or if it has a brushed finish remote the scratches first then give it a rebrushing to restore back as much as the original look it once had.
For a confirmed quote, simply send me a photo or two of your ring or piece of jewelry and be sure to take as clear a picture as possible of the worse areas on the item and send them to me through the "contact seller" button here. I'll confirm if stripping it down, refinishing, and polishing or brushing out as many dings, scratches or abrasions as possible is right for you. Keep in mind there are no guarantees on how much damage can be removed as it will depend on how deep they are and/or any gems, etc in the way. Speaking of gems, many times gem replacement or resetting can also be done in this process but again, this would definitely need to be quoted out for the cost of the gems if new ones are needed and new setting requirements but the prices listed below are pretty accurate for refinishing the common 8mm band.
If you have a coin ring that previously had an antique patina finish, this is the right service for you as well as the antique patina is included as is the jeweler's clear coat after finishing (Hyposealer upgrade optional).
Want to help prevent premature oxidation and provide a bit more protection? Hyposealer may be a good option for you (be sure to ask first). It's a transparent thin powder coating that puts a clear gloss barrier on your ring and is baked on (superior to typical Jewelers Clear Coating). You can read more about it below...
Hyposeal™ Protective Coating and Sealer

I LOVE MAKING CUSTOMIZED RINGS! Yes, we "specialize" in making nearly any kind of ring according to our customer's specifications. Simply message me here and I'll provide a quote based on the requirements of your custom-designed ring(s).
While there are some very tough rings that can put up with a lot of abuse like Titanium or Tungsten, all jewelry regardless of price requires some common sense TLC and in most cases it should be a habit to remove your ring prior to taking a shower, washing your hands, using hand sanitizer or lotion, swimming or while working that requires heavy hand to machinery contact or anything that would simply be abrasive. If you have any concerns, simply ask about your specific ring and ask about our hyposealer which is an additional protective coating that can be applied to help protect and prevent oxydation.
Because I actually hand make these rings myself, I can often offer them in all sizes including extremely small to very large ie. US Sizes 1-25 and as fine-tuned as much as a quarter of a size on most rings. If you don't see the size you require, please message me. I often can still do it for you!
Yes, all rings $40 or more automatically are shipped in a beautiful ring box FREE OF CHARGE!
If you need a ring box for something less expensive, just let me know and I'll still do it for free 😍
If you are looking to buy rings, services or our precious metal plating in bulk, contact me before making your purchase, and let's discuss what you have. In many cases, I do offer discounted pricing to customers with bulk item requests.
Yes, anyone with an honorable discharge DD214 or active duty card as well as any first responders (firefighters, officers, medical field) that can provide proof (ie. an ID with the same name as the person purchasing the item) will receive 15% OFF the regular price. If an item is already on sale, I don't consolidate discounts and coupons so we would just look for the discount that gives you the largest savings and I thank you for your service!
The prices in the ad are based on plating a basic ring however I do plate many different items (not just jewelry). The very first thing is to contact me direct and provide a photo(s) preferably next to a dollar bill for size comparison. I don't charge my customers until "AFTER" the job is completed so PAY NOTHING UPFRONT! Simply contact me for my address, instructions and a quote.
Yes, all the time! In fact, other than all kinds of costume jewelry, antiques, and more I'm contracted by many companies for all kinds of crazy things like drone parts, car parts, emblems, medallions, electronic parts, and so much more! Our Gold plating services extend far beyond just rings, bracelets, necklaces, watches, and pendants. Further, I plate in Vermeil or Gold Filled as well making our plating up to 8x times thicker than standard gold plating. Message me here and let's just chat a bit about what you have and get you a custom quote today. I typically answer in just a matter of a couple of hours in most cases.

I originally ordered my husband's wedding band back in 2017. He works in the refineries and is always working with his hands so; the normal wear and tear caused the antler to come undone on the ring. I messaged Mr. Baker asking if there was any way to restore the wedding band and he was very informative and helpful throughout the whole process. He was able to get the ring back to its original and probably even better than what it was before. My husband was so excited to have his original ring back.

I generally don't leave reviews, but Michael deserves a shout out! Amazing communication, care, and work for the ring I sent in. He made some suggestions on how to best finish the ring, and I'm glad I took his suggestions. I never felt like he was trying to upsell his services - just an honest, incredibly skilled guy, supporting a great cause for US Vets!

(This is the ring he’s using for this ad) I absolutely hate leaving bad reviews on small business but have to share. When I got my ring back from sending it to him he took parts of my ring off and left spots on it that wasn’t there before. The hypo seal he put on started chipping and cracking a month after wearing it a handful of times THE CORRECT WAY. I send my ring to him two months ago and this is what it looks like now after wearing it the correct way. I would put zero stars if I could
