Not to be mistaken with the 1oz Mexican Libertad displaying it's 17 coat of arms, this beautiful heritage coin displays portraits (either side would look beautiful facing outward) depicting an age old cultural legend. Iztaccíhuatl was the daughter of a great king and Popocatépetl was a strong and fearless warrior. The king promised Popocatépetl he could marry Iztaccíhuatl if he returned from battle victorious. After several months of combat, a rumor spread to Iztaccíhuatl that Popocatépetl had been killed in the war. Devastated, the princess refused to sleep or eat and finally fell ill and slipped away. A short time after this, Popocatépetl returned to find his beloved dead. Heartbroken, he took Iztaccíhuatl’s body into the wilderness to watch over her where his fate mirrored the fate of the princess. As the earth reclaimed their bodies, the two lovers became great volcanoes, with Popocatépetl keeping eternal watch over Iztaccíhuatl.
The Mexican Silver Libertad joins Mexico’s pre-Columbian heritage with its new culture of independence. Containing .999 fine Silver, these Silver bullion coins are guaranteed by Banco de México. I only use coins in excellent VF to Mint Condition and convert it into a beautiful piece of jewelry, a ring to wear in the finish of your choice and a discussion piece that will last for years to come.
As seen in the picture above you'll notice it in straight silver polish however it looks phenomenal in several other finished such as but not limited to Antique Patina, powder coatings, and precious metal platings of Copper, 24k Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, Platinum, White Gold or Rhodium. Just ask if you don't see a picture of the finish you are wanting and I'll gladly send you one for your review.
With Antique Patina or powder coating I then remove the top layer allowing the high relief minting of the Eagle Head, Cactus and words "Estados Unidos Mexicanos" to shine through! I then give it a forth coating of Jewelers Clear Coating Free of charge but you have the option to purchase our very popular Hypoallergenic Transparent Powder Coating (3 year guarantee) or 5ml bottle of Jewelers Clear Coating for reapplication as needed to make it as ding and scratch resistant as possible and keep looking beautiful for years to come. Links are listed below!
WHAT SIDE TO FACE OUTWARD ON YOUR RING?
Mexico’s symbol of freedom and justice, the Winged Victoria graces the reverses of these coins. In addition to the image of the famous Mexican volcanoes in the backdrop, the coin’s weight, metal content, purity, and the Mexican Mint’s “MO” mint mark are also imprinted on this side.
(REVERSE SIDE - MOST POPULAR FOR FACING OUTWARD)
On the reverse, the National Shield of Mexico is imprinted right at the center. Furthermore, all the coats of arms used by Mexico over the past 190 years surround this design -- the past encircling the present. This is the side most want to see on the outside of the ring that proudly displays "Estados Unidos Mexicanos". By default I always but the Reverse Side out on this coin ring but you can choose to have the obverse side facing outward (just let me know).
▶ "No Protective Coat" (No additional Clear Coat will be included in your order)
▶ "5ml Clear Coating" (a 5ml Bottle of Jewelers Clear Coat w/ Applicator good for about a year so you can apply your own protective coating as needed. Highly recommended for Antique Patina or Precious Metal Platings.)
▶ "3 Year HYPO-SEALER" (Hypoallergenic Powder Coated Shell is baked on and backed by a 3 year guarantee) More information on HYPO-SEALER can be found here...

The ring is amazing and beautiful. I had pretty specific requirements for the ring I ordered. Michael literally went and found the exact coin and date I needed and made the ring for that. Amazing ring and even more amazing customer service.
