WHAT SETS US APART FROM OTHERS OFFERING PLATING SERVICES:
THE OTHER GUY? 0.5 microns is all they are required to apply to legally call it gold plated.
PCR Jewelry Plating Service: 4.0microns thick or greater in addition to base plating and barrier layers beforehand and optional clear coating after "if" desired! That's over 8x times the thickness you'll get elsewhere!
This is not a basic electroplating kit service. Many hobbyists kits are available for chemical or basic pen electroplate plating. Expect approximately 8x times more Gold or other plating applied than any other service. These non-professional kits only apply up to 0.5 microns thick plating which "is" the industry standard while we apply 4.0 microns plus!
I'm a professional jeweler with over 20 years of experience and plate all kinds of things (not just rings or jewelry) so don't hesitate to ask if you need a quote for something crazy. I've been sent drones, car parts, electronics, concept car parts by auto manufacturers, belt buckles, trophies, just about everything you can imagine, and offer commercial (High Quality) services to jewelers across the USA. Offering such high-end service and craftsmanship includes often required base and barrier layers prior to the actual service as required and where needed. I charge NOTHING UPFRONT, and you are only invoiced "AFTER" the work is complete to guarantee 100% satisfaction.
PRICES WITHIN THIS AD ARE BASED ON AN AVERAGED SIZE 8mm WIDE RING or similar items like small pendants or very thin chains (send pictures and details to get a quote for larger items). Message me if you have something else for an accurate quote and read all the information below as they will probably answer all your questions. Typical 2-3 Day Turn Around Time on most items (not guaranteed depending on how busy I am with other orders received prior to yours).
Has your coin ring, jewelry or other become aged, lost its luster, precious metal plating, or antique patina? Maybe it was never Gold or had any precious metal but you would like it to. Regardless of the type of precious metal, (I don't only do gold - see options offered below) Send it to me and I'll replate it to bring back its beauty as best as possible. Just note that while I can remove many scratches and dings, not all can always be removed and plating alone will not fill in and cover up those issues (the plating is only going to be as smooth, flawless, and clear as the metal beneath it when finished and plating does not cover up oxidation, painted areas or items that have a clear coat or sealer. Please understand the differences between using real gold as I do and imitation gold or IP Gold from a factory, they aren't going to be the same so if you are confused by this, please ask before requesting the service be done but you will receive photos of your item and not charged till you approve how it looks). Feel free to ask to see before and after photos of other customer projects.
For those wondering if I plate more than just rings, "YES I DO" but prices will differ if it requires more precious metal and/or labor than a normal 8mm band so don't hesitate to contact me if you have something unique you want to enquire about.
Here’s how to get started...
1. Contact me here first along with a picture of your item to be plated, length, width, and general description especially the type of metal it's going on. Yes, gems are okay if they are mounted on your item as they won't be disturbed.
2. If we come to an agreement on what service you'll need, mail your ring/item to me at the address below and "PAY NOTHING UPFRONT". Be sure to include your name, Etsy user name (if different), Phone Number (in case I need to call you when received), and full details along with any special requests. When shipping your item, be sure to get tracking information and insurance if needed just to avoid any USPS issues with delivery.
3142 Sunset Vista Court
Chino Hills, California 91709-1285
(I NEVER RECOMMEND PUTTING MY COMPANY NAME OR ANYTHING THAT WOULD INDICATE JEWELRY IS INSIDE ON THE ENVELOPE TO PREVENT ANYONE ALONG THE USPS LINE FROM BEING TEMPTED TO SEE WHAT'S INSIDE)
3. Protective Coatings! Exclusive to PCR Jewelry, you can request protective coating(s) which for some jewelry (not ideal on all jewelry so your item(s) will first need to be inspected). This isn't a free service so enquire on a quote if additional protection is desired.
Finally, it should go without saying but I've been questioned by some so this obvious information is publically listed. Plating is a micron thin plating over the surface of another metal so using a protective coating "if" your item can take it is the best way to make it last and help prevent oxidation much longer than normal but common sense care should always be taken of any item, jewelry, or other if you want it to last. Don't expect to go digging in the garden and scratching it against abrasive objects and for it to be impervious to fading or removal. Also, hand sanitizers can soften and remove protectants so be aware of that. The only thing better than the Jewelers Clear Coat is a Transparent (which should be reapplied monthly) is Hypoallergenic Powder Coating (Hypo-Powder Coating) that puts a hardened shell on your band and comes with a 3 year re-application guarantee (no reapplications unlike JCC is needed). Questions? Just ask.

▶ BULK DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE (let me know if you are a reseller/manufacturer or just have a lot of pieces to do)
▶ Resizing Not Included in this service
▶ Precious Metal Plating does not remove pre-existing scratches, abrasions, or dings
▶ This is an offer for "Service" and not for a coin ring or other item other than what is ordered.
▶ Hypoallergenic Powder Coating (aka Hypo-Powder Coating guarantees it won't fade for a minimum of 3 years otherwise return it for a free refinishing (all shipping is the responsibility of the customer) limited to no more than one (1) refinishing, plating and reapplication of hyposealer again within the 3 year period. More details on Hypo-Powder Coating can be found here...
▶ Jewelers Clear Coating (JCC) first application is FREE and an individual 5ml use bottle and applicator is available for most items.
▶ Buyer to pay for shipping the item to us but return shipping will be FREE of charge unless you decide to back out of the service and not pay to have it done.
▶ Some items may need more than just a plating but base coats and/or barrier layers of precious metal before the final precious metal coat of your choice. Your jewelry/item is only as bright and clean as the metal beneath it so if it's scratched or discolored, it's going to show through if the surface can't be completely cleaned or replated with base coatings. If you feel a piece in really bad shape, send me a photo and we can discuss what needs to be done to make it look new again. There is no guarantee as to the longevity or durability of the plating. I simply can't know how my customers will take care of their items or abuse them and precious metal plating is simply a micron thin surface coating of precious soft metal that can and will scratch or fade with time in many cases just as to the reason you are probably contacting me now if you are having something replated.
▶ I've never had anything returned to me and thus far a 100% customer satisfaction of my services however by ordering this service you agree that if in the event I agree to a refund or worse a court case or arbitration by anyone is performed, there will be no refund greater than what was originally charged. There is no guarantee for damage to the item(s) whether the said damage occurs before in a test trial, attempt to plate or after plating occurs. PCR will not be responsible for anything greater than the cost of the service and any refund will be at the discretion of PCR Jewelry (aka Patriot Coin Rings), Michael Baker, employee or affiliate. Again, with this being said, I've not yet ever had anyone less than 5 Star Excited about the results of my work as can be read in the reviews.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me here and I hope this service satisfactorily takes care of your issue 😊

I LOVE MAKING CUSTOMIZED RINGS! Yes, we "specialize" in making nearly any kind of ring according to our customer's specifications. Simply message me here and I'll provide a quote based on the requirements of your custom-designed ring(s).
While there are some very tough rings that can put up with a lot of abuse like Titanium or Tungsten, all jewelry regardless of price requires some common sense TLC and in most cases it should be a habit to remove your ring prior to taking a shower, washing your hands, using hand sanitizer or lotion, swimming or while working that requires heavy hand to machinery contact or anything that would simply be abrasive. If you have any concerns, simply ask about your specific ring and ask about our hyposealer which is an additional protective coating that can be applied to help protect and prevent oxydation.
Because I actually hand make these rings myself, I can often offer them in all sizes including extremely small to very large ie. US Sizes 1-25 and as fine-tuned as much as a quarter of a size on most rings. If you don't see the size you require, please message me. I often can still do it for you!
Yes, all rings $40 or more automatically are shipped in a beautiful ring box FREE OF CHARGE!
If you need a ring box for something less expensive, just let me know and I'll still do it for free 😍
If you are looking to buy rings, services or our precious metal plating in bulk, contact me before making your purchase, and let's discuss what you have. In many cases, I do offer discounted pricing to customers with bulk item requests.
Yes, anyone with an honorable discharge DD214 or active duty card as well as any first responders (firefighters, officers, medical field) that can provide proof (ie. an ID with the same name as the person purchasing the item) will receive 15% OFF the regular price. If an item is already on sale, I don't consolidate discounts and coupons so we would just look for the discount that gives you the largest savings and I thank you for your service!
The prices in the ad are based on plating a basic ring however I do plate many different items (not just jewelry). The very first thing is to contact me direct and provide a photo(s) preferably next to a dollar bill for size comparison. I don't charge my customers until "AFTER" the job is completed so PAY NOTHING UPFRONT! Simply contact me for my address, instructions and a quote.
Yes, all the time! In fact, other than all kinds of costume jewelry, antiques, and more I'm contracted by many companies for all kinds of crazy things like drone parts, car parts, emblems, medallions, electronic parts, and so much more! Our Gold plating services extend far beyond just rings, bracelets, necklaces, watches, and pendants. Further, I plate in Vermeil or Gold Filled as well making our plating up to 8x times thicker than standard gold plating. Message me here and let's just chat a bit about what you have and get you a custom quote today. I typically answer in just a matter of a couple of hours in most cases.

The necklace came out beautiful and the owner got back to me promptly about my questions. It is nice to see people doing well at their jobs and doing quality work!

Michael was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish! He is highly experienced, explaining everything in a clear and concise manner including expectations on outcome and costs. As you can see in the photo, he did a fantastic job on my necklace & I couldn’t be happier!! (a job most local jewellers said wouldn’t be possible?!) I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my jewelry from here on in! Thank you so much Michael for always taking the time to answer my questions, and above all doing an exceptional job on my necklace!!!

I cannot praise the experience of working with Michael enough, and his work exceeded all expectation I hoped for! I wanted to gold plate a very special silver bracelet that means very much to me - so I had a LOT of questions. Michael was outstandingly responsive, and so patient and friendly in answering all of them, and sharing his wisdom, both before and after, to make sure everything was perfect. It was truly a pleasure to connect on Etsy with such a lovely person, who is doing fantastic work AND is also committed to giving back to help others in the process. The bracelet came out absolutely gorgeous - I'm so excited and proud to wear it! Like a huge number of others have said before me, I wanted to say thanks and share my very, very highest recommendations!!!

Michael was an absolutely incredible craftsman. He did wonders for my old pendant necklace as was able to help me make it better than it ever was! He was incredibly communicative, very transparent about his whole process, and even plated my necklace chain free of charge when the process was taking longer than expected! By far, his store is the best jewelry shop I've ever done work with- and for such a noble cause too! I will certainly be coming back and recommending him to all of my friends! By far, one of the best purchases I've made my entire life. Thank you Michael!

I generally don't leave reviews, but Michael deserves a shout out! Amazing communication, care, and work for the ring I sent in. He made some suggestions on how to best finish the ring, and I'm glad I took his suggestions. I never felt like he was trying to upsell his services - just an honest, incredibly skilled guy, supporting a great cause for US Vets!
